Here’s how the news was received by ClaretandHugh Facebook forum members and site followers.

Carol Combes

Niall McDonald
Niall McDonald but in fairness, at least we have made the decision now

Daniel Altendorff
Daniel Altendorff so it was the training facilities causing the injuries outside of the match ones? Or at least it seems as though they are going to pin it on that with Bilic’s comments in that article
Dainon: Fans have been blaming the Chadwell Heath facility’s for years and its always been dismissed…. Seems we were right after all.
Canchaz: Well, we will soon know for sure now they have moved over to the new ground. It’s never just bad luck in anything is it. There’s always a reason.

  1. Hard or soft ground it will not stop injuries ?
They happen because of a million and one reasons !!!
They happen when they happen !! No one knows when and how !!!
Nothing new here , sportsman get them all the time!
    It just happens !!!
    End of !!!!!!!!!!
    This parrots dead!!!
Change the subject Ffs !!!!!! No one has the answer !!!!!!

  2. That’s right. See the pitches they played on in the old days? Pitches were made of mud. Grass? Bloody luxury that is. And the tackles years ago, not saying their all overpaid pansys but. Here’s the thing though. They don’t where boots anymore. They where things that are more like carpet slippers and they are surprised when they get foot and ankle injuries or slip and pull a muscle.

  3. Wear

  4. Footballers are a different beast now, once they were like rugby players but now they are like Thoroughbred race horses.. its not blood and guts anymore it explosive pace and delicate skill. They are much more finely tune athletes and pick up injury’s easier than the old school style player

  5. Alan Curbishley said many years ago that the Chadwell Heath training ground was the cause of so many injuries
