Byram: No Leeds loan back

|

Sam-Byram-CelebratingSam Byram is currently at West Ham tying up the final details of his move to the club from Leeds United.

The right back will undergo a medical and is set to become a West Ham player later today or tomorrow as the club continues to make their ambitions very public in the transfer market.

ClaretandHugh understands too that Byram will not – as has been suggested – be loaned back to Leeds for the remainder of the season which suggests that a player may be on the way out given wage considerations.

Mauro Zarate and Nikicia Jelavic are the likely candidates although the club made it clear to us yesterday they will not entertain the loan deals offered for the Argentinian, leaving the striker as the most likely departure.

Byram was born in Essex and is understood to come from a Hammers-supporting family which – after we had offered the same personal terms as Everton – made his decision to join the club pretty simple.

Our top source told ClaretandHugh: “We want to ensure that we do a very thorough assessment of him. We know he’s a very good player of course but want to look at all aspects of his abilities and we can only do that if he’s with us.”

Tell The Gooners he will sit on the touch line or play with the development squad ( if they think he is good enough ) then Wenger will take him back because his value will drop,
Hope we learn from this loan deal,we would hacpve been better developing Oxford or even playing Hendrie out of place they would have done no worse,
He has made it clear he is a Gooners for life ( bet he is gone next year. ) for under £4 million
We need him this year no rush he can back up Tomks for a month or 2 or hr will be an instant success

I hope that our need for a right back means we will give him a chance to play rather than send him out on loan

Good player and a hammer , if he can go on to be as good as cresswell we will have a good player on our hands….if he can go on to to be as good as bale (bale started out at tottenham as a full back ) then we will have a very very good player on our hands ! Lol

Just Hope this singing is completed, and I feel it is time sending young players on loan came to an end, if a young player is good enough they should get their opportunity. Bilic always knows how he wants to shape players (not sure some of our fans understand that at present) and it is better Sam is shaped from the start.

It will be great if he plays as well in the PL as he looks a very capable and Young lad so Bilich will be able to mould him I think he looks a great inverstment 🙂

Joey o brien to leave by mutual consent? His contract is up at the end of the season I think.

Can we not send Jenkinson back early? Surely its in Arsenal’s interest to send him elsewhere rather than being our 3rd choice.

    • With 5 and a half months left JOB is due another £450,000 in wages. No one wants him so why would he leave by mutual consent unless we pay him what he is due.

      • pauljs7 says:

Same reason as Amalfitano and Nolan I’d guess.
Even if he doesn’t sign elsewhere, paying them up front gives a bit more allowance on the wage structure.
