Calleri loan deal makes sense

calleriThe Jonathan Calleri loan rumours have all the hallmarks of a typical David Sullivan deal.

We know Mr Sullivan likes a South American player as they are cheaper in terms of wages and transfer fees when compared to their European counterparts.

I could see a similar deal  to the one that bought Manuel Lanzini to West Ham from Al Jazira last season. Lanzini was on a weekly wage of around £25,ooo a week whilst on loan with West Ham but was rewarded with a new permanent deal of around £40,000 per week basic plus appearance and goal bonuses.  The pre-arranged transfer fee for Lanzini amounted to nearly £9m which was a bargain in the current market.

RR ModerateWest Ham could use Lanzini as a lynch pin to persuade Calleri to join the Hammers rather than Sevilla, the two have been selected for the Argentinian Olympic team in Rio and will soon join up for training.

The 22 year old recently flew to Italy to resolve some issues relating to his Italian passport which means a work permit would not be required.

  1. I though there were 3rd party problems ?
If he is that good why has taken a month for us to get to this stage,
Bony on loan with the right to buy next year would be better,
Barahino for Sak plus cash would be better
Yedder or Ayew would be good as well,
But I suppose Lambert he is just under 40 or injury prone
Fletcher now Hippo does not want him will have to do in the end, probably be the Fair play rules problem again,
Can’t be many 20 plus goals a season left,

    • Because up until now he has been loan at another team. Now the path is clear to negotiate.
Fletcher went to Sheff Wed about 3 weeks ago.

  2. lets not waste anymore time on bacca bring in ben yedder and calleri

  3. The boy yedder is another option ,
Failing that we could go for Cole bubs! I’m sure sully could get him down to a tenner a month plus bonus ,

  4. Not sure they would go to a tenner,
    Crouch for a fiver maybe,
