Callum Marshall’s career gets double lift off

Callum Marshall’s career has received a double lift off

Claret and Hugh revealed a month ago the club were planning to offer him a new deal and that has now happened – a deal which once finally agreed will take him through until 2027.

Callum Marshall’s career gets double lift off

Soon after it was revealed to us that  deal would be out on the table David Moyes hit out at Divin Mubama and his agents for not agreeing one of their own before the end of his current contract in the summer.

He explained that it was a bad idea to simply move him on when given an agreement on a new contract the club would get him a good loan. He added that others have moved on and not advanced themselves as a result.

Mubama’s team appears to have done little or nothing since!

Following Moyes entirely justified words  C and H was told by it’s own insider that the club intended doing a deal with Marshall.

Today we learn they have done exactly that and followed up by getting the most exciting prospect we have seen at the academy for several years – a deal at promotion-seeking Championship outfit West Brom.

That is exactly the kind of move that should see the lad develop in a real hurry and hopefully come back next season as a serious first team squad player.

Already a Northern Ireland international, Marshall has a huge chance which we can expect him to take at the Hawthorns, and if things really work out he is set to save the club a fortune in the transfer market.

These are very exciting times for Callum, his family, West Ham United and us fans who love nothing more than one of our own burst through from the academy.
