West Ham look set to have Nayef Aguerd and although Angelo Ogbonna is fit the Hammers veteran is suspended for the game against Gent on Thursday evening at the London Stadium.
Both were unavailable for the match against Arsenal yesterday but this morning Claret and Hugh learned exclusively that they are both now fit.
In he absence of both Thilo Kehrer was called into the squad alongside Kurt Zouma at central defence but it seems likely that one or the other will return for the game against the Belgian outfit.
David Moyes may save Aguerd for a critical Premier League game against Bournemouth next weekend.
However it may well be that Kehrer will gain a place in the team at right back given the outstanding form of Coufal yesterday and his assumed requirement for the game against the Cherries.
Our key source said: ” They are both hopefully fine, just short term injuries from game last Thursday. At long last we showed some fight and intensity yesterday.“
I thought Coufal was responsible for one of the Arsenal goals, Kehrer the other. Certainly if they’d been switched on they could have prevented the goals. On match of the day though they blamed Benrahma not tracking back for both goals.
Coufal wasn’t that great, the back 4 were all at fault for both the goals.
All 4 improved as the game went on.
You mentioned in your own article that Ogbonna is suspended ?…..
Both on the left side
Isn’t Oggy suspended for Thursday?
Not sure Ridders. Dont think so. I was away last week and it hasn’t been mentioned to me when checking on injuries. Downes got a card I think
