CandH Exclusive: Aguerd/Paqueta injury updates

CandH Exclusive by Hughie Southon

Early information on Hammers injury victims Nayef Aguerd and Lucas Paqueta is not great.

Both were injured during the draw over Chelsea and the hopes were of course that they would not be too serious and that  would be avaialable for the game against Spurs at the weekend.

Aguerd was withdrawn late on in West Ham’s tie with Chelsea with a suspected groin injury, and it still remains to be seen how severe the injury could be.

With Kurt Zouma also injured, losing Aguerd again would be a huge blow to David Moyes, as he aims to fight off the threat of relegation.

However, both in his case and Paqueta – who fell on his shoulder following a previous collarbone injury – it seems according to our contacts that they are likely to be missing for another critical game.

We were told: “They are both likely to be out for weeks rather than months.”

  1. Still say there is a real problem with the training regime at West Ham, you should never get so many injuries if they are properly trained.
