CandH EXCLUSIVE: DS after two world stars

|

SullivanDavid Sullivan has told the Hammers fans to look forward to a big and busy transfer market this summer.

As the club heads into its final Boleyn season, he expects to bring in top young prospects and a couple of high class world names.

The big bonus of the season has been the form of near ever-present Aaron Cresswell who has demonstrated there are top young players at Championship level who can step up and do a great Premier League job.

Cressy was the PFAs left back of the season in the Championship, and fitted with the club’s desire to help in the drive towards more attacking football..

And it was David Sullivan who did the deal with Ipswich – outbidding two other clubs in the process -before agreeing personal terms through his agent.

And the co chairman -speaking exclusively to ClaretandHugh today – has revealed that the club is looking to do more of the same at the end of the season.

He said: “The supporters will see this Summer that we’ll go for youth, but that will be combined with one or two established world class players.”

And he has went as far as to name his target number of signings for the summer adding telling the fans:”We expect 5 new players minimum.”

If the dinosaur does stay we need to keep him away from the transfer targets, otherwise we will end up paying shed loads of money for 4 or 5 ageing players like flamini, adebayor & glen johnson etc.It will be pointless buying young prospects with him still about because they will never be seen near the first team.

In football manager 2015 poyet becomes a world class player, under hippo head he dont even get a look in…:-)

I hope he does not class Adebayor as a world star . . That aside its encouraging words for the Big Boss & if he has as good a summer this year as last we will really be strong

  • TysonM says:

Haha, hippo head has no idea how to develop & bring on young players,is why he always signs oldies because he hasnt the skills to do it.Well i guess he could teach them how to defend on the edge of your own box for the last 30mins of matches when 1-0 up 🙂

Valencia to Chelsea ?Cresswell to Man City ?no Song,No Jenkinson?
We need to remove Nolan,O,Brien,Demel,Jarvis,Magia and Allardyce.
What’s happening to Zarate and Nene ?

David Sullivan, seems to know what type of players, we the fans really want, unlike Big Fat Dudley Dinosaurs, who has he Favorites ( Nolan, Diouf, Anelka ) to mention a few, he did try to bring Diouf and Anelka to West Ham, but thank god we the Fans wanted none of it., and Bfs is also opposed to Youth Players coming through,
Name one Youth player Sam has played on a regular basis since he’s been Manager of our Club, ?
For me, it’s time for Dudley Dinosaurs to leave Jurassic Upton Park, so that our last season becomes a memorable one without controversy between Fans and Manager….. Coy!
