Exclusive By Hugh Southon talking to Ex
There is no doubt about the hottest story of the day – a five page statement from PAI Capital on their owner’s love of “West Ham FC” as he described them.
This has brought reaction from all over and it’s probably fair to say that most remain keen to learn a lot more than we have been told by the group so far.
They chose to release a question and answer ‘statement’ to ExWHUemployee’s West Ham Way website rater than the national media, broadcasting or any other media outlet.
And Ex has explained to CandH how that happened and his own personal feelings on how the group are operating their media attempts.
Ex and Dave Walker are partners and the Twitter ITK told us: “Dave was approached by a contact who offered us the PAI question and answer interview. We were pleased to do this because we are a platform which aims to include important news .In order to be fair to our patrons who pay for a service we put the statement there first before making it available to everybody else a little later.
The result of course was that we have taken a huge amount of stick for this but whatever we had done that would have happened anyway!
The Q and A they have put out provides way too many questions that need answering before you can take anything seriously.
I think it would have been better if the Q and A was opened up to questions that had been chosen for the group, rather than asking their own – that’s something that we are hoping to do.
“Personally I think the group are trying too hard to convince us that they are West Ham fans and are not doing it the right way.
I don’t really care if they are West Ham fans or not as long as were they or anyone else ever to get control, they listen to true West Ham fan’s opinions. In some ways it might even be better if they are not West Ham fans so everything starts afresh.
If they are serious – which still remains to be seen, they should like any other firm in this situation, put a concrete business plan together and prove they have the finances – a position denied by the club.
Only then can anybody make an accurate judgement as to whether they are good for the club. In the meantime yhe feedback they have received could have been a lot more positive. “
Anyone that tries to control the outcome of the media and seems averse to answering difficult questions is demonstrating that they have something to hide. These cowboys are just a media circus an annoying distraction that are actually helping deflect from the fact we have only made one significant signing.
