Hammers co chairman and chief shareholder David Sullivan has revealed exclusively to ClaretandHugh that he is NOT in crisis talks with manager Slaven Bilic.

We reported this morning there is no appetitie to sack the manager and that reports to the contrary in The Mirror and on Sky Sports were inaccurate.

The Mirror had even declared that Bilic’s position was hanging by a thread in a highly melodramatic appraisal of the situation.

bilic-gloomHowever, following our denial of the story Sullivan spoke with us to confirm that the board remain solidly behind the manager.

He told us: There simply are are no crisis talks. That is not true – just not the case at all.

“We have a regular Monday morning phone call to each other and that was again the case today.

“It was a little longer than usual as we are both extremely worried about things, BUT the board is solidly behind the manager.”

I have said I would make a change now, but I can see the argument for giving it until end of Dec. Five games. What do people think is needed. I would say 9pts or more he definitely stays, 6 or less he definitely goes.

Cheers Hugh! I knew it was all invented by the papers. You can trust the mirror as far as you can throw it, and as for sky, as far as you can throw murdoch!
The problems are injuries to key players. Not being able to field a striker who has ever scored in the premier league for 90% of this season so far has obviously caused us trouble & Zaza & Callieri haven’t risen to the challenge. Sakho comes in, goal in 2 mins, out for 6 weeks! You couldn’t make it up (unless you’re the mirror).
Stick by Slaven Bilic, he’s a West Ham man and he’s got the club in his heart. He showed what he can do with a decent playing squad last season, he just needs his top players fit & that’s the difference between this season and last. In Bilic we trust… COYI

While you are at it Hugh can you ask him if he can get me a season ticket, I will be at the Burnley and Hull games all this 50000 on the list I want to know how many on that list have got a ticket now after they banned the fans that were genuinely fighting. Also when are they going to up the license to 66000, there are a lot of us on the claret membership that are paying more than we should to watch this rubbish every week and think we should be rewarded with season tickets and a medal for masochism if they have one. If he can sort it I will give him suggestions for new xmas gifts, like the west ham branded crucifix with Adrian on it, showing that he can get close to a cross sometimes.

Hugh can you ask the two daves or Brady where are all these forty to fifty thousand people on the waiting list gone ? Was up at Old Trafford on Wednesday and we only sold just over half our allocation and now get text message asking if season ticket holders want to buy extra tickets for the Burnley game !! I would have thought with all the people on the waiting list these tickets would have been snapped up ?

The worrying thing is that we have not dominated any games under Bilic. We beat some bigger teams last season but they were all done with minimal possession and counter attacks. We can’t hold onto the ball and we invite constant pressure. I can’t see that problem being solved.

Something that I would change immediately – make the pitch smaller. We’ve gone from one of the smaller pitches to possibly the biggest pitch. I think this was done so that the fans feel closer to the touchline in the new stadium.

  • Daboiflip says:

Fault for this season lies with everyone bot just billic all we need is one sone ine or skmething that can kick us up the a## wether it be a new player or some one to lend billic a hand we can go over and over regarding this years transfers but for the moment were stuck with them if we have to get a temp coach to give us a new perspective then so be it but sacking billic os not the awnser on my eyes

Fair enough for now, i think most of us would agree with that but let’s not leave it to long because relegation would be a disaster for our club….
