- With only only four points separating nine clubs at the bottom of the table, we have been having a look at them all and have been giving them a CandH end of season points prediction.
And now onto us
It wasn`t too long ago that the Hammers beat Everton in what was being dubbed as a “loser gets sacked” match between David Moyes and Frank Lampard. West Ham won and Lampard did indeed get sacked, but our Supremo has still overseen just three wins in the last 15 games.
There have been positive results with draws against Newcastle and Chelsea, as well as a 4-0 win over Forest, but the 4-0 caning at Brighton has undone all the good work.
We do however have as many as two games in hand on the teams above us though.

And the small matter of a rearranged away game at Man City.
The anoraks suggest that we will grab a further 15 points to complete our season with 39 points and a goal difference of -13.
This means we will finish in 14th place !
The bookies share that view with a quote of 9/2 for our relegation.
CandH points prediction: 39
Next on the list of potential candidates for relegation, just above us, are Leicester City.
Their recent draw at high flying Brentford ended their four game losing run and allowed them to gain their eighth point of 2023.
The anoraks claim that they have an 11% chance of going down

The prediction is that they will end up with 40 points and a goal difference of -10 and finish a reasonably comfortable 13th in the table. The bookies obviously agree by giving them a 4/1 quote to go down.
Cand H points prediction: 40 points
Now to poor old Nottingham Forest
The much lauded Steve Cooper who took Forest from the bottom of the Championship to the Premier League ( West Ham board please take note). But recently the wheels have fallen off, they are now winless in six games with four defeats and two draws. This run has come at the worst possible time and they are the anoraks third favourites (49.8%) for the drop.

The prediction is that they will only garner a further 13 points and finish with a goal difference of -38 which will ultimately prove crucial. The bookies concur, with odds for their survival at 10/11
This leaves them 19th and a return to the Championship
CandH points prediction: 35 points
