Carew agent “uncomfortable” dealing with Allardyce and not surprised at his present troubles

The agent of former Hammers striker Johnny Carew has declared he is “not terribly surprised” to see that the former West Ham and England  boss has landed himself in trouble over transfers.

He has admitted he had felt “uncomfortable”dealing with Allardyce over the deal that brought the player to the club in 2011.

Norwegian striker Carew joined Allardyce’s West Ham on a free transferand agent Per Flod was acting for him at the time..

Flod told Norwegian broadcaster NRK: “It was obvious money was going to someone who should not have received any. “I came across people in the transfer that I had no control of. It was one of the hardest transfers I ever had.

“It was not the way I wanted it to be. And it was obvious that the set of people outside the system had influence on the transfer and that money went in different ways than it should have.

“There was contact to me from a person, which I do not want to say the name of, who was acting very differently. And my fee, which was agreed, was suddenly cut in half because there were others who were having money.”

Flod claimed the deal was only done because he eventually agreed to halve his fee and added: “I will not argue that Allardyce even got money here. But it was a transfer with items that I was very uncomfortable (with).”

Flod is no longer an agent, but insists he would have been finished at the time if he spoke up then.

He said: “It’s like that in this business that when acting as an agent, and you want to continue to work in a market, the moment you go out and notify someone, you’re done. So it was not a topic for me.”

  1. Stinks like an old fish, eh friends?

    • So an article about a lying corrupt lump of lard and a comment from a lying **** stirrer guess irony isn’t dead after all 🙂

    • So Cometh the fish 247 rears his head again or should i say 3 heads.Isnt it time you planned your next account & name to start sh1t stirring again.Im sure at least 3 different names isnt enough for a **** like you.

  2. It’s been obvious for years that certain managers have acted this way. With Allardyce perhaps more than any other manager because of his arrangement with Curtis, if you sign up with Curtis you get in, if they examine all the deals he has done and follow the money they will probably find much more evidence against him. For me it is a shame it happened so soon because the story would have been bigger once he established himself, the role of agents and managers in transfer deals is something else that football could do without and as big a light as possible should be shone on that dark and murky world.

  3. Where there’s money there’s corruption. Some magia expert in the telegraph this week said Britain was the most corrupt country in the world and there was us thinking we were whiter than white and the corruption was all within FIFA.

  4. Mafia expert not magia ha ha. Everyone wants a slice of the pie.

    • Allardyce will end up making ‘arry look like a saint if anyone ever digs deeper into his dealings.Him & Curtis, bent. Some have know it,some have voiced their concerns, others have defended him.Now the truth is coming out.

  5. I wouldn’t listen to any agents past or present, you can tell when they’re lying there lips move.COYI
