Carlton Cole ‘I am in limbo!’

ColeCarlton Cole was asked about his future at West Ham when he appeared on Sky’s Fantasy Football club on Thursday this week.

The loyal Hammer told John Fendley and Paul Merson  “Depends what the owners want to do, the new manager or the present manager. I don’t know, we don’t know what is going on at the moment. As a footballer you always keep your options open”

Asked whether he has considered moving abroad Cole said

“I think if I was to go abroad it wouldn’t be too bad. It would be a new experience for me. I have been in the Premiership all my life basically and that’s all I know. Sometimes to go somewhere else is another new start which can give you a new lease of life to enjoy your football. Another club that are newly promoted (to the Premier league) or in the Championship, I would have a look at that too!”

“I am just waiting, the agents have their feelers out naturally but I have not even asked what is going on with me yet, I have just left it. I am in limbo with what’s going on with me until I know what the club want to do. They haven’t told me anything yet so I can’t really start searching”

  1. Simple look for another club America seems the place to go to fill your pockets and start your pension,
You haven’t played a lot in the last 4 years thanks to BFS so have plenty left in the tank,
Or maybe join Old McDonald at Nlackpool for a couple years then have a couple of years
With Hendon at Brentwood or follow BFS north to ????
Which ever thanks for everything again

  2. Carlton whilst not the most prolific of strikers you will always be remembered for taking a pay cut in our hour of need, scoring in play off final and your genuine love for the club. I like many other fans wish you all the best.. A true gent who never bad mouthed the club even when you were treated appallingly by our manager…good luck Carlton you deserve it…
