Carlton Cole’s Cup magic

|

CarltonCOLEFormer Hammer Carlton Cole showed he hasn’t lost his touch in front of goal as he scored in Dundee’s  Scottish Cup draw at the weekend. The former Iron said “I hear the fans singing my name all the time, it’s good to give them something in return to justify it. I think I’ve played about 30 minutes so far yet they sing my name every week. I’m thinking, ‘just let me go out there!”

“I’ve done okay in my career and the fans have embraced me. I feel at home here. This was my first start in a long time so obviously the nerves do kick in. “But I have learned how to handle my nerves.

“You have just got to go out there and leave it all on the pitch.

“I don’t know what I was doing with that overhead kick in the second half. I think that finished me off.

“But at the end of the day I knew I had to go out and there and try and score a goal and I did that.

“But I want to really focus on the next game and get another one and another one.

“I want to do well and keep some momentum going.”   Here is that goal!
