Carroll back on the score sheet

|

Andy Carroll displayed his fitness with a  goalscoring return  in a behind-closed-doors game for the Irons

He  came through 90 minutes of the 4-3 friendly defeat to Reading unscathed and the club are confident he will be back for their trip to Crystal Palace after the international break.

Enner Valencia also featured as a late substitute, while defender Angelo Ogbonna and midfielder Alex Song have all been training this week and are expected to be available soon.

Zarate deserves another run but who do you drop ?
What a problem to be stuck with,
Carroll should be great this month as a super sub along with Enner and Zarate,
Getting Ogbonna and Song back could be what we need to stop the goals going in against us,
    Looks good for Christmas

This strong squad should see us keep up the results deep into the season. Other squads will weaken before ours so we should see a strong finish to the season 🙂

Deffo Neil. Never can I remember being so spoilt for choice of players in all areas of the pitch.

I don’t think I can remember a time when we have been so spoilt for choices in the forward line. Just need to start the games like we mean it and knock the silly mistakes on the head and we’ll be good to go.

And if you’re wondering who scored the other two goals. Yes. He’s on fire. Step forward and take a bow, Mr Mauro Zarate.

Big Andy. What a legend. “he scores when he’s fit”
