Hammers hat-trick hero Andy Carroll declared himself happy with the draw but admitted the team’s set up didn’t suit the lads in the first half.
The big man said: “We didn’t play the best in the first half but I was delighted to get a couple back before the break. Maybe my goals meant my best performance in a West Ham shirt. We changed things at half time and it worked better after that. ”
He and Arsenal central defender Laurent Koscielny had a running battle all afternoon but AC said: “It was a tough game between us but there was nothing malicious.
“We are still in it at the top and in with a chance of Europe. We have to be happy with a point.”
On his chances of making it to France in the summer he said: and I have to keep the European Championships in the back of my head but the most important thing for me is to carry on doing it for West Ham United every week.”
