Carroll flies back with twisted ankle

Andy-Carroll-1200Andy Carroll is tonight definitely on his way back to Britain from New Zealand!
The No 9 has been recalled to Chadwell Heath for the medics to work on the twisted ankle he picked up in training.
“There is no definite time frame on the recovery time although hopes remain he could still play in the early games.”
ClaretandHugh reported this morning there were unconfirmed reports the centre forward would be on the next plane home.
And this evening a top club insider confirmed exclsuively to us: “It’s true – he is on his way back.
“He has twisted his ankle and the club want him back in UK so it can be given  the best possible attention.
Until a few minutes ago Upton Park had gone into total ‘lockdown’ on the  the Carroll scenario but our source broke the silence.
There is one story doing the rounds tonight that the injury could keep the player out of action for two to four months but our source said: “We hope not and that he will play in the opening games but we  will  know more within seven days.”
