Carroll injury rumour quashed

|

crowdWild rumours that Andy Carroll had again injured his ankle in training today were quashed by West Ham sources this evening.

Claretandhugh has received three phone calls over the last two hours that the big striker had “gone over” on the ankle and that he was back in trouble.

But Hammers sources quickly described the claims as “nonsense” insisting the player is 100 per cent and available for selection for tomorrow’s game against Swansea.

Stories had been rumbling around all day of a training ground incident involving the player but we have been assured that they are entirely untrue.

ClaretandHugh’s well placed source said: “Yours was not the first call but we can assure everybody out there who may have been hearing the gossip that it’s simply not true – he’s 100 per cent ok.”
