Carroll may be heading for the States

Andy Carroll may be ready to quit West Ham and England in the summer as he and his family eye a possible move to the United States.

As the guessing game over Carroll’s future goes on, CandH has learned the 29 year old Geordie is becoming increasingly keen on a move to America.

Although the Hammers hold a two year option on his contract which runs out in the summer it looks increasingly likely that the 29 year old striker will seek pastures new.

He and Billie Mucklow are regular visitors to the States as a holiday destination and we understand that both see a move as an attractive proposition at this stage of his career.

We learned of Carroll’s thoughts on the States from a source close to the couple who told us in a telephone call of the possible development in the front man’s career.

The Hammers are holding off from activating an option they hold on Carroll’s contract until they see how he has recovered and looked at his form over the last half of the season.
