Carroll progress pleases Cole

CarltonCOLECarlton Cole is delighted to see Andy Carroll moving down the comeback trail at a rapid pace.

The cynics might believe that the big fella may be a bit concverned as this is only going to push him further down the pecking order.

But that’s not the way of things at the club right now and cole, talking to the official sirte www.whufc.com said after the practice match against Fulham: “I was playing in the hole and pulling a few strings.

“It was good to see AC get back on the score sheet and also set up one for Nolan. If you were watching from a neutral point of view, I think it was a good game.”

Of his own first team form he said: “It’s hard to find form when you’re not starting but everyone who knows me knows I always give 100% every game.

“Our next game is Everton away which is always a tough game. We’ve got the personnel and good strength in depth to make a difference. We’re confident at the moment and I think we can go there and get a result.”
