Carroll returns but Wilshere sits it out

Andy Carroll returns to the squad for today’s clash with Manchester Ciy but Jack Wilshere will not be included in the high profile match.

Wilshere returned to full training during the second week of the international break whilst Carroll has now had the full fortnight with the squad and is ready to make an impact.

The former Gunnder however will be fit for a run of games – starting against Newcastle at St James’ Park next Saturday which most believe should bring the Hammers a decent points harvest.

With Robert Snodgrass out because of suspension, skipper Mark Noble is expected to return to a side, liely to be unchanged otherwise from that which gained a 1-1 draw at Huddersfield two weeks ago.

And should that be the case it would see Aaron Cresswell remaining in the left back position with Arthur Masuaku again sitting the game out unless injury intervenes.

Likely team: Fabianski, Zaba, Balbuena, Diop, Cresswell, Rice, Noble, Obiang, Diangana, Anderson, Arnautovic.
