Carroll/Newcastle link brings new denial

andy-carrollThe continuing reports that Andy Carroll is to be all but given away to Newcastle United in January are quite simply not true!
After the story emerged in the local Newcastle media on Sunday it seems today’s national tabloids are leaping aboard the “AC for Toon” bandwagon with a vengeance.
But as ClaretandHugh reported yesterday West Ham insiders are furious that they could be ready to take anything up to a £12 million loss on the striker.
And this morning an Irons insider contacted us to repeat their position and declare: “The whole thing is entirely crazy. Are people expected to believe that our owners asre the type of guys who try to give players away for next to nothing?
“Do they really believe that after spending four years clearing debt they will offer to take a £12 million loss in one hit – madness.”
We were told yesterday when the story first broke: “We do not offer our players to any club and do Newcastle even know who their manager will be in January.”
Our story was picked up by a leading Newcastle United blog http://www.nufcblog.com/2014/10/12/west-ham-outrage-at-andy-carroll-story/ which commented “It’s a good point by the West Ham insider that whoever the manager is in January will (should) have a big say in which players are brought in.”

Ok …enough said, let’s all move on!

  1. EVERY player is available, Our Club have become hopeless at handling the media, we make fools of ourselves, example no one will share the new stadium and then a complete alleged turn around? now Carroll is not available, he should be, IF Newcastle makes a serious offer it should be considered just as they will do with Reid.

  2. Carroll isn’t going anywhere!
He says he isn’t leaving! His agent says he isn’t leaving!( “no chance” quote unquote!) and the club say he isn’t leaving! What more do we need?

Apart from anything else, with the club stating we won’t be giving carroll away, what team can affy to take a £15mil gamble on a player on £85grand a week with his history of injury? Not many I’d wager!
