West Ham are reportedly keen on bringing Cameron Carter-Vickers to The London Stadium this summer. According to HITC, Celtic’s star defender is a target for the Irons. Despite having five years remaining on his contract, West Ham are interested in signing him.

And this news appears to have got not only Celtic fans but the club themselves very worried about losing a dressing room favourite.

Southend lad Carter-Vickers, born in Essex, is familiar with the Hammers. Although he was raised in the UK and has played for Tottenham Hotspur, Bournemouth, and Luton, among others, he represents the USA at the international level.

Celtic initially signed Carter-Vickers on loan on deadline day in the summer of 2021 as Ange Postecoglou strengthened his defence. His highly impressive performances led to a permanent transfer deal, with Celtic paying Spurs £6 million for the 6-foot defender. The 26-year-old has become a key figure in the Celtic dressing room, even taking on the vice-captaincy, making him an important player the club is keen to retain.

Celtic are believed to value Carter-Vickers at £20 million.
