West Ham United have made an immediate response to rumours that Jarrod Bowen is at the top of Newcastle United’s transfer wanted list.
The media in the northeast have been growing increasingly confident that they will be able to buy Bowen this summer and moreover, they can do so at the price they want.
This incredibly confident claim came via the Northeast Echo, which suggested that Newcastle can make a strong case to the player and force through a transfer on their terms. The newspaper even went as far as to suggest that the Magpies could seek to use the lack of a relationship between Bowen and new head coach Julen Lopetegui as a reason the player may uproot and join the Toon.
When Claret & Hugh contacted a high-ranking West Ham source for comment, we were informed that Bowen would be staying put.
When asked about links to the Magpies, the club insider said, “We don’t need to sell the player. Bowen is staying.” When C&H followed up with a question about whether Bowen was part of Lopetegui’s plans, the response was clear, “Of course, the new manager wants him.”
I would like to think that the direct clarification from West Ham will put the story to bed, but I suspect not. This is a transfer rumour that will continue to run and run, but as far as I can tell, Bowen is happy; he’s on a long-term contract with no buyout clause, and the club have stated he’s not for sale.
West Ham are obsessed with this story. North East not so much.
Why not all have a days holiday tomorrow and print nothing!
Thank you Toby, kind offer, sadly we have our 50,000-plus daily views to think of. They all come back each day. You are of course free to stop visiting if you aren’t impressed, we can cope with ‘just’ 49,999 tomorrow.
like all rags all print xxxx stories probably part of the mirror group labour rag
Exclusive!! 🤣🤣🤣 you had us all worried that he was going. Honestly these articles are getting worse. Think only the most gullible would believe the reports from a rag in Newcastle. Oh wait we have whetstone who probably did
There is no factor that makes me think that Bowen even might go to Newcastle.
He’s 27 on a seven year contract and he scored 20 goals last season makes him too expensive.
He’s known to be happy.
It’s a nonsense story.
Exclusive: No decent player would want to join a northern s**te sportwashing club except for mercenary wages.
Greed is good EPL.
lol, the world knows he isnt going anywhere!!! but love the Exclusive!!
