Reports of a bust-up between West Ham head coach Julen Lopetegui and winger Mohammed Kudus have been exaggerated, according to a top source at the club.

Claret & Hugh contacted a high-ranking Hammers official late last night to clarify speculation that Lopetegui and Kudus had to be separated at half-time against Brentford following a heated row.

The top West Ham insider told us this morning that suggestions the argument became physical were inaccurate: “That’s an exaggeration; both are passionate about improving things for the club. Everything was resolved amicably yesterday. In the heat of the moment, things are often said that are regretted.”

While it is interesting that the situation was resolved yesterday, it is good news for West Ham. The dressing room is a highly competitive environment where tensions and adrenaline can often run high. I’m quite certain that this type of altercation is commonplace in most dressing rooms; we just tend not to hear about it, as usual football etiquette dictates that news of these types of arguments rarely leave the privacy of the dressing room.

Did I not say this on your other article about hour ago…you decided to go with made up rubbish on X from well known idiots which had the usual effect of some believing it to make stupid comments on it..and a few hours later deciced it was in fact bol##cks honestly gonzo it’s pathetic

  • John Sharp says:

You would hope that any player would be angry at being dragged off at half time. It might just show that he is passionate about playing or he is frustrated because he knows he is not at his best.
We have enough enemies outside the club without stirring it up internally.

  • John Ayris says:

Exaggerated… Well that would be a first wouldn’t it. I don’t believe half of the twaddle that comes out, I mean how weak did Todibo look against Brentford.

  • Sensible3 says:

So there was a bust up but like every professional boxing match they tried to smile at each other afterwards.

  • Robert Schmidt says:

Oh yeah, nothing to see here.

    HOGWASH!!!!!!!

As to the intensity of said altercation, probably no punches thrown, but I have seen Kudus in action and he does not suffer disrespect or wrongful attack lightly. Yes, he is a full grown man with a backbone. It used to be a common trait among men of Earth.
