West Ham United are expecting some movement in the transfer market as early as this week, Claret & Hugh has learned.

Obviously, all eyes today will be on the Hammers’ first pre-season friendly against Ferencváros. However, Tim Steidten and his recruitment team are busy working behind the scenes to get some signings over the line.

C&H spoke to a top club source late last night in an effort to cut through some of the transfer speculation of the past few days. There appears to be so many rumours linking West Ham with moves for wingers that we asked the club directly if that was a priority position.

The top club insider informed us, “We’re looking everywhere, but CF is THE priority.”

This messaging has not wavered from what the club told this website at the very start of the transfer window, which was that centre back and centre forward were the priorities for this summer. We were also the ones to break the news that Tim Steidten was in Brazil looking for promising young players before the Bayer Leverkusen game last season.

West Ham may still be in the market for another winger; however, if the club says that a striker is next on the transfer hit list, then I’d be inclined to believe it.

Whilst West Ham understandably refuses to discuss the names of players they’re close to signing, I would certainly not rule out a deal for Jhon Duran if Aston Villa can lower their valuation.

I agree with the above, i’m now giving up reading these pointless articles after being a reader of this site for years. 100% written just to cash in on advertising these days. Disappointing.

So all this article has done has regurgitated everything we have all known since the transfer window opened. Amazing.

You would think that the West Ham recruitment department would know when the season ends and would have started “looking everywhere” at that stage. Looking everywhere now seems a bit late. West Ham must know who they want and roughly how much they will cost and the budget. I just do not understand why it takes so long. If you can’t afford a player then move on to one you can afford. We was told business would be done early. Not happened. Same old West Ham run by a bunch of C@@ts.

I must agree. Starting from the title.

Its an exclusive that we’re remaining ‘focused’ in the market? – Now that is a shock

The team are working behind the scenes to get some signings – oh really?

CF is the priority – well I never.
