Jose Mourinho and Manuel Pellegrini could hardly be more different!

Laid back Pellegrini looks like a man who couldn’t lose it if he tried and that public displays of anger and hostile are from another world  whereas Mourinho is arrogant and whose future may be behind him after his volcanic Man United reign.

Pelle has been with the Hammers for almost 18 months and has now had two weeks to sort out many of our issues whereas Mourinho is starting cold having had three days to get  Tottenham ready.

Pellegrini knows he owes the fans a great game against big London rivals Tottenham on Saturday following a terrible run of games.

Back at the London Stadium the fans are expectant and demanding – he needs to give us a big result for much of the ill will being directed at him to go away.

And if the lads are on their A-game, with Mourinho playing catch up on managerial requirements and little pre-match time it should happen surely.

Results are not reliant on managers’ reputations – they come from the 11 or so who cross the white line acting on that they have been told.
