Sources in the shirt manufacturing industry have suggested Castore have won the tender to be West Ham’s new technical partner when the current deal with Umbro expires.
However, the ‘Umbro’ banner is likely to continue on West Ham shirts after Castore signed a sub-licensing deal with Umbro last year.
Two names have been mentioned as possible front of shirt sponsors for the new shirt deal. One is Amazon Prime, and the other is Foot Locker.
Amazon Prime have previously sponsored River Plate in Argentina: League two club Stevenage FC had a deal with Prime Gaming between 2021 and 2023.
Footlocker are the official marketing partner of NBA but rumoured to be keen to get into the Premier League.
West Ham shareholder Daniel Kretinksy owns around 10% of Footlocker through his investment company although he sold some of stock in August last year.
You would think Footlocker would sponsor Newcastle looking at their logo. Amazon prime please. At least I use their product.
Castore is a rubbish make, shirts literally falling apart …
The Umbro kits have always been hit and miss. The last Boleyn kit was very good and this season’s is their best ever. Castore shirts are OK.
Just as long as we don’t have to have an ugly Hummel or the incredibly boring Nike
I’d like to see an Adidas kit again.
When Adidas was good, it was really good. The 1980-82, 1982-84 and 2013-14 kits were excellent. I didn’t care for the others at all.
I think the standards of Umbro, have really dipped! Adidas & Castore much Higher! knowing the background of the two young Wirral entrepreneurs who launched Castore, I had not heard about the Umbro link?
