Changes look on cards for Leeds game

|

David Moyes has dropped sufficient hints to allow opinions to be formed on the kind of team he will play tomorrow (Sun) against Leeds.

What is known is that as a sufferer of covid, Tomas Soucek will probably be given more rest time and that Kurt Zouma could return.

Mark Noble has an injury, along with Fredericks and with Moysie in explaining Mikey Antonio has to be managed carefully in a three games in a week situation we reckon he too might well miss this one.

One can never be sure with the boss given his often ambiguous comments ahead of team selections – a situation we appreciate fully.

We may even have a few ideas and information on what’s what but as we have said before we are a site – unlike some outlets – that will never reveal definite team information at any stage before the game.

However, it’s acceptable to put two and two together and on the basis of what the manager has said – and assuming that there’s no smoke and mirrors involved in any of that – here’s our team for the Leeds match.

(4-2-4-1) Fabianski; Coufal, Zouma, Dawson, Cresswell; Rice, Lanzini, Masuaku,Vlasic, Fornals; Bowen.

Prediction: 3-1

Hopefully Soucek will be back, against a poor Norwich team we definitely missed him, against Leeds we could do with the control he brings. I am not sure Antonio will be dropped, we need to keep picking up points, we are in a good position but if Tottenham and Arsenal win enough of their games in hand they could both go ahead of us, We dropped some points against Brighton and Burnley that leaves us vulnerable, also Leicester and Wolves are right in the mix if they keep picking up points they could be only 3 points behind us when we are level on games.Am hopeful we will have too much for Leeds but there are no easy games in the PL and am expecting them to be better than they were in the cup game COYI !!!

You should never change a winning team and I hope Moyes goes with the same team even if Soucek and Zouma are available. Soucek looked leggy and after Covid you cannot expect him to come back against a Leeds team who work so hard. Secondly Diop and Dawson have just jept 2 clean sheets and it would be a kick in the teeth for either to be dropped. Zouma is also just coming back from Covid so it would make sense for a lot of different reasons to keep the same team, With Zouma and Soucek on the bench it will also give the players on the pitch the incentive to work even more to keep their place.

That midfield looks to light weight if you’re daring to include Masuaku. He’s not strong enough to help out, a big liability, offers nothing and confuses everyone in the team even you don’t rate him.I’d rather have Okoflex in there who’s having a outstanding season in the u23’s and was taken off after 65 minutes fro the U23’s.
I expect Daswon to be rested rather Diop. Dawson has looked battered and bruised.
Plus they speak the same language !!
