Cheap Lineker jibe aimed at Zouma
Blimey, talk about drawing attention to yourself but as we are talking Gary Lineker here so I suppose that will come as no big surprise.
The one time England player, TV presenter and pundit turned occasional politician has now shown a talent for dated insults aimed at one particular West Ham player in particular.
I thought the end of Kurt Zouma’s abuse came at the end of last season but no Luton Town fans decided that they would weight in as we beat them at Kenilworth Road earlier in the season.
MAYBE forgivable as they were catching up with the rest having been promoted last season and thus having no chance to make their feelings know.
Lineker, however, is an entirely different scenario as he no doubt, had his say plenty of times on MOTD and elsewhere when the Hammers captain became involved in Catgate last season.
However, he decided to have an entirely entirely unnecessary pop when he saw a picture of the central defender emerge from Rush Green and onto Twitter with the caption: ” Our captain Kurt Zouma!
Lineker – as is his way – responded more or less immediately responded: ““Just realised that captain is an anagram of cat pain.”
As jibes go that falls into category Z as jibes go but anything for a cheap remark…that’s our Lineker.
