Chelsea injury blow ahead of Irons clash

|

Chelsea are likely to be without midfielder Pedro after the winger was injured during the last minutes of the game against PAOK goalkeeper during last night’s Champions League game in Greece.

The winger was involved in a horror collision with the opposition keeper that resulted in him being grounded for a few minutes.

Manager Mauritzio Sarri revealed: “Sarri said after the game: “I don’t know the situation exactly.

“I spoke to him for a few seconds. He’s a doubt for the West Ham game… a doubt for both of the Liverpool games.”

However, Eden Hazard and David Luiz both missed last night’s game in Thessalonika as the Chelsea manager kept an eye on the Sunday game and are ready to line up at the London Stadium.

Manuel Pellegrini is still refusing to give a firm decision on Marko Arnautovic’s involvement although the odds appear to be swinging heavily towards his involvement.

A good strong performance against Chelsea would certainly help to win over the Pelligrini doubters , of which I have been one admittedly . I loved the team sheet announcement against Everton and felt we could win the game right from the whistle . I / we weren’t disappointed . Our big target must now be consistency . Pelligrini keeping his cards close to his chest is the way to go instead of blurting out our game plan as too many have done previously . Hopefully that means Anautovic could be fit to play and Hernandez could be on the bench . West ham Must turn up for this one and if last week was anything to go by Chelsea could very well find themselves on the wrong end of the result .
