Chelsea sales could be bad news for West Ham

The Daily Star say Frank Lampard determined to make one last push for West Ham ace Declan Rice, which could allow Jorginho to leave Stamford Bridge and join London rivals Arsenal. Having already spent close to £230million this summer, though, Lampard may be forced to cash in on players before submitting an offer for Rice who the tabloid says would cost £73m.

The Daily Express says N’Golo Kante is reportedly ready to leave Chelsea in the final two weeks of the window. Former Blues boss Antonio Conte is keen to bring the Frenchman to Inter.

The sale of either player who proves bad news for West Ham and could be the catalyst for a late bid for Rice by Chelsea.

West Ham insists Rice is not for sale and there have been no enquiries or bids to date.

According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, the 21-year-old Hammers has already agreed on personal terms for a five-year contract with Chelsea ahead of a potential switch but that is strongly denied by sources close to the player.

  1. Give us Barkley, loftus cheek and abraham in exchange.

    • I would not take one of them, put it this way they take our best player and we also take 3 players from them who are not good enough for them and free up their wage bill so we do them a second favour. And thirdly we get no much needed cash to buy a replacement and some top defenders. This would not be a good deal for us. I don’t believe the deal will happen for one reason, we have no time to find a suitable replacement. The only way I could see the deal happening is if Kante or Kovacic are included as both of them can play a defensive midfield role – other wise it will not happen. The lad Abraham is ok if you play on the counter but he is absolutely rubbish if you are trying to break down a team. If we buy a striker it has to be a clever thinking striker not another Haller or Antonio.

  2. Last season Wilfred Zaha wanted to leave – no one met Palace’s valuation so he stayed – I think that he even asked for a transfer

So we have to tell Declan – sorry you are not leaving now – we can review at the end of the season so if he does leave then we will have enough time to buy a decent replacement

Surely the board know that if they sanction this a) all mayhem will break out among the supporters b) we will in all likelihood be relegated
