Chelsea sharing plan should never be considered

|

Any idea that Chelsea should use the London Stadium or indeed Wembley Stadium whilst a new stadium is built for them has received a deplorable response from across the Hammers fanbase.

And here, occasional Claret and Hugh blogger, The Cat gives a passionate view which is pretty typical of the widespread feelings.

Whoever is responsible for even thinking this, has no idea regarding the naturally tribal nature of football. There is no way that such an idea should even be able to get any kind of traction.

Also, I have NEVER been a supporter of allowing domestic teams to be able to use our sacred National Stadium for their home games as this is unfair to the footballers who only get the opportunity to play at Wembley on rare prestigious occasions and an insult to the talented players who have graced this turf in the past (even though it is a rebuild).

It cheapens the occasion and also gives an unfair advantage to a team who plays at Wembley regularly, should they make it to the FA or League Cup final.
