West Ham emerge from an injury crisis of epic proportions today, expecting to welcome back Jarrod Bowen following his foot fracture in the Liverpool fixture. Some speculation has been fuelled- by the Hammers own training video showing him in an animated training session – that Crysencio Summerville may also be ready for a return to the starting XI as well.

Why, I don’t know, but I have a sneaky suspicion there is a bit of bluff going on: I would not be surprised to see Potter revert to the style of the starting XI against Aston Villa in the FA Cup game, using wing-backs again with Summerville in the team. Konstantinos Mavropanos can also return as a centre back option having served his one game suspension.

So, as a guess, ( 3-4-2-1)

Areola | Wan Bissaka, Kilman, Mavropanos,| Coufal or Summerville if fit, Soucek, Alvarez, Emerson, |Kudus, Paquetá | Bowen(c)

Score predictions

Gonzo 2-1 West Ham win

Martin 3-1 Chelsea win

Sean 1-0 West Ham win

Matt 1-1 points shared

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

Chelsea are actually below us in the last six played form table and level with us in the last eight played.

This depends a lot on whether Bowen and Summerville are ready to go. I’ll assume that they are and I’ll go with 1-1

Well done Gonzo and Sean. I’ve never predicted a West Gsn loss in my life and don’t think I ever could.
