francis34-1064545_478x359Bournemouth defender Simon Francis has sent a “we won’t freeze” message to the Irons ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash at the Boleyn.

Francis told the Bournemouth Daily Echo: “Without being cocky or over-confident, we are not going to freeze.

“There was a world-wide audience on Monday (at Anfield) and, hopefully, we impressed a few people. But more than anything, we performed well and did ourselves proud.

“We are always looking to pass the ball and almost don’t know any other way to play. We don’t have the players to go direct and will always try to press to win back possession as quickly as possible.

“West Ham is one we want to get something from before playing Leicester at home. We will not be daunted by the task and, hopefully, we can take forward the positives from the Liverpool game.

“I played there for Bradford in the Championship years ago and there was a great atmosphere. We were fighting relegation and they had some the likes of Michael Carrick, Jermain Defoe and other top players who shouldn’t have been playing at that level and they walked all over us.

“It was a long time ago but it would be nice to come away with a positive result this time.”
