City’s out of position problems at West Ham

|

By Hughie Southon

Word from City is that Phil Foden will need to be played down the left side today.

That – on the face of it – sounds like good news as City may not be as potent through the middle of midfield with both him and Kevin De Bruyne and of course it MAY make life a little easier for Hammers right back Vladi Coufal.

There may be an argument for the Hammers to bring Mavropanos to deal with the physicality of  Erling Haaland who has scored an amazing six goals in his four Premier League games this season to ease City back to the top of the table.

Likely City line up

City will probably decide to deploy Bernardo Silva in the middle alongside Julian Alvarez with Jeremy Doku on the right.

With John Stones still injured as well, Manuel Akanji should continue at central defence. Jokso Gvardiol, Ruben Dias and Kyle Walker should make up the rest of the back-line.

It’s all good news for the Hammers whom Moysie claimed yesterday the Hammers were likely to be free of any sort of injury worries.

Our possible team: Areola, Coufal, Zouma, Aguerd, Emerson, Paqueta, Kudus, Ward-Prowse, Alvarez, Bowen, Antonio
