City injury blow ahead of Hammers

|

Manchester City will definitely be without Bernardo Silva for the trip to the London Stadium this weekend after the play maker picked up an injury on international duty.

Etihad chief Pep Guardiola confirmed the player would be missing from the line-up this weekend saying:  Bernardo .cannot play this weekend, it’s not too big (an injury) but this game no, maybe next Tuesday,” Guardiola said.

The City boss has revealed also revealed that Nenjamin Mendy will be out for up to three months after undergoing knee surgery in Barcelona.

Mendy had an operation on his right knee nine days ago and will now face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

But Nicolas Otamendi is back in training and City have no other injury concerns ahead of the clash with West Ham.

“Mendy is 10 to 12 weeks,” Guardiola said. “Otamendi back in training and everybody else is OK.”
