City looks Iron’s last hurrah

|

west_hams_sofiane_feghouli_celebrates_scoring_their_third_goal_317515Sofiane Fegouli could be making his last appearance in an Irons shirt should he – as expected – line up against Manchester City on Wednesday evening.

The general view inside the club is that manager Slaven Bilic will stick with the team that “has changed his life” over the last two games.

Top wins over Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough have given the season a completely different look and the view inside the club is that the manager is bound to stick with the same side that did so well at Boro in particular.

But new signing Robert Snodgrass is going to be named in the squad for City and is very likely to make his first appearance  at some stage – probably midway through the second half.

With agents busy trying to get Feghouli away to Roma, and other clubs interested, it look likely that the Algerian will either be gone or slip way down the pecking order after Wednesday nights game.

Bilic was desperate to land ‘Snoddy’ after seeing his summer signings fail in the right wing position when Michail was required in a different position.

And the former Hull player will become  first choice for the position when those circumstances arise in the future.

One source said: “The two wins have changed Slaven’s life” as we now look safe and with Snodgrass on the right we have a proven Premier League player with a decent track record. ”

So the windows for Italy,Spain or such like close on a different day to us do they.Ours closes on Tuesday night right?

Haha come on now Rads, you know the drill. Never let the truth get in the way of a good story!

Maybe the club have switched tactics? Before they shouted from the rooftops everytime Sullivan farted or burped, but maybe now we’re talking out of our Aris to keep other clubs guessing. Welcome to the age of post truth and alternative facts.

Lol dj,there was method in my madness for once.I thought if i asked the question then someone else will point out this story is flawed & i stay out of trouble for a change 😂😂

I believe that that the major European leagues transfer windows also shut on the 31st this year.I know Russia is sometimes different but lets put it this way…if Feghouli plays Wednesday then it is definatley not going to be his last game because he wouldn’t have been sold the way i see it.

Window closes Tuesday night and Snodgrass is left footed and our wingers always swap throughout the game anyway. Antonio, Lanzini and JUDAS MKIII were always popping up on the opposite wing to where they started so wouldn’t be surprised to see rotation through all of our wide players.

The Italian transfer window, like ours, shuts at 11pm on 31 Jan so if Fehgouli is playing against City he will obviously not have been sold. I find it very unlikely hell be sold as that leaves us with no cover in wide area at all. And with our injury record, hell be needed as i assume Payet will be sold before Tuesday.

Cheers lads yeah i was pretty certain they closed on the same day but wasnt sure if this year for some reason like a national holiday they shut a day after us.But even then it makes no sense that it would be Fegs last match 😁

As mentioned before I like Feghouli and he has shown Bilic he can step up and play hard for him, he certainly wasn’t playing like a player that didn’t want to represent us, I think he is only just getting started on what he can do for us, hold onto him until the summer at the very least Bilic owes him for his performances and also Bilic doesn’t like to change a winning team based on previous experience of him. Hopefully this is just more lazy journalism COYI !!!

    • Thiucgshaun says:

I agree. However it’s not even journalism. It’s the opinion of this site only. I haven’t seen it anywhere else at all.

  • HamburgHammer says:

Do we really need the money that much? What’s the point selling Feghouli just as he seems to adapt to the Premier League?

  • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

He aint going anywhere imo.Bilic must have been impressed by his last few appearances. The only way he will go is if we got some ridiculous offer for him, which aint going to happen.I have only seen Roma & some other Italian club mentioned & that was about a week or two ago 😀
