West Ham have their lap around the ground scheduled for after the last home game of the season: It will be a chance to say goodbye to upto eight squad players who are either definitely or probably be on their way out of West Ham this summer. Aaron Cresswell has his own ‘thank you’ moment planned by the club before kick off: Ten years plus service and the current vice captain demands recognition.

Away from London Stadium, on-loan Hammers midfielder George Earthy has been saying goodbye to some very appreciative Bristol City supporters after his successful season-long loan at Ashton Gate which took Bristol into – but sadly not beyond – the play off semi-finals. The Bristol Post reports his spell as sparking into life in February after scoring twice against Middlesborough, after which the Hammer’s youngster ‘didn’t look back’.

Earthy’s message to Bristol City fans showed real class for one so young:”

Thank you to everyone at Bristol City – the manager, the players, the staff and the fans – for welcoming me into your club as one of your own. I couldn’t tell you how much I’ve loved my time here and have learnt so much about myself as a player and a person. The way our season ended still hurts, however, it was an experience I won’t ever forget. It’s been an honour to have represented this great club and to be a part of such a talented group of people.”

Now he’ll head back to what should be a truly exciting pre-season – for Earthy and fellow Hammers Freddie Potts and Callum Marshall –  all of whom have had hugely successful loan spells away and have the chance to impress Graham Potter ahead of the 2025/6 campaign.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970.. Don't take my comments too seriously, imagine we are having a chat at half time over a pint at L S and "let's disagree without falling out".

it will be sad to see certain players leaving the club but it must be said that there are certain ones we will be happy to see the back of hopefully things will improve next season and the recruitment of new players are up to the job in hand another season like this one we will be looking at the playing in the Championship but if the take over of the club is true then who knows

All three of them are quality players…please Graham, give them a good pre-season and see what they can do.

Hope they all get game time to settle in before they get sat on the bench!
