Clean bill of Villa health

Aston Villa have got a clean bill of health ahead of their clash with West Ham on Sunday, apart from long-term absentee Marvelous Nakamba.

Steven Gerrard’s side have been in excellent form in recent weeks and have won three on the bounce, beating Brighton 2-0, Southampton 4-0, and Leeds 3-0 in their recent outings.

Nakamba has not been available for Villa since the clash with Liverpool in December, when he was substituted due to injury.

Against the Irons, Villa are set to be without the midfielder but the rest of their team, including ex-Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho, are fit, according to BBC Sport.

Coutinho has been in exceptional form for Villa and has played a key role in their recent victories.

The Hammers, by comparison, are without Vlad Coufal, Andriy Yarmolenko, Angelo Ogbonna and, most disappointingly, Jarrod Bowen, as David Moyes’ side look to take another step forward in the race for Champions League football.
