Clean sheet Fab looks for Cups!

Lukasz Fabianski seems unlikely to be involved in tomorrow evening’s game at Southampton with Alphonse Areola in line to keep his place in the FA Cup side.

Fab has been in great form this season and is delighted the team appeared to emerge from a difficult looking affair against Wolves with an improved performance and three points.

He’ll be looking for more of the same on the south coast as the Hammers seek to advance in three competitions against a team with similar stats to us over the last dozen or so games.

Despite the game at the weekend ending in just a one goal win for us he in fact had very little to do making just one save in the 90 minutes.

A clean sheet was the bonus as the No 1 looks good for another season and maybe even two at the club such is his form.

And speaking to www.whufc he said: “There were some crosses to deal with. A clean sheet is always, for me personally and the team as well, nice, because you always take something away from the game, so it’s good to have.

In the first half, there was almost nothing to do. In the second half, I was happy to help and take some pressure off the team in the latter stages of the game.

The last few minutes were strange because it almost looked like I was catching crosses, kicking them away, and the ball came back straight away!

Luckily enough, we managed to keep a clean sheet and get a very important three points.

We’ve still got an FA Cup game against Southampton  and we’ve got the UEFA Europa League coming up. What we have to do is just take each game as it comes and do our best.

We had a bit of a tricky spell recently where we didn’t play well, but we managed to pick up some points. played really well and managed to get a very important three points.

Lukasz Fabianski
