Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly growing increasingly confident they can pressure West Ham into accepting a lowball bid for Mohammed Kudus.
That’s according to TalkSPORT’s Ben Jacobs, who’s been all over the Kudus story from day one.
In his latest update, Jacobs reports that Spurs view Kudus as “top quality,” but believe West Ham can be haggled down from their original asking price. He also claims the Ghanaian has been offered to both Manchester United and Chelsea, though it’s Tottenham who currently appear to be leading the race for the winger’s signature.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is said to be quietly confident he can seal a cut-price deal in the region of £60 million.
With West Ham’s pre-season kicking off next Monday, Kudus is expected to report back to Rush Green alongside his teammates—meaning time is running out if Tottenham want to get the deal wrapped up quickly.
One thing is certain: if Kudus moves across the capital and lights it up in North London, West Ham fans will never hear the end of it.

I hate Sullivan as it is. If he sells Kudus to Tottscum I will not have the vocabulary to describe just what Sullivan would be in the eyes of most West Ham fans.
Paid 35 million for him i think so still good business
Middle finger and keep him.
Board need to put their money in to buy necessary players list seems to be diminishing.
Originally 9 players now looks like 4/5 needed.
Last season was sh!t and that could be attributable to managerial problems.
Kudus could be just a one season dip it happens not just to him.
Coming season is going to be a challenge which could be just what Kudus needs.
We will be tagged along, then dumped late in the window by the spuds to upset our summer window opps. Or, we tag them along and let Kudas go to another club!
This will not play out with a straight bat!
Kudus appears to be ambitious so I can’t see him being over the moon at the prospect of joining Tottenham.
I think a lot of fans would be very angry about this. If Spurs want Kudus they should pay the full £85m clause, any discount for a club that goes out of its way to block West Ham is a no no. Apart from transfers it was them trying get the London Stadium that resulted in us not owning our ground remember. Whether you like it or not it would be better to own it.
Discounting a potentially great player, when he can be bothered, to them feels bad. A team below us in the league last year in a terrible season!
Well said.
Don’t know why they are discussing terms with him if we haven’t agreed a fee yet, there is then a risk that the player will then try and force the move through. Personally as long as we get £60m I won’t mind if he goes there, he will get CL football next season but would be surprised if they achieve top 5. Use the money to buy a few young prospects who actually want to play for us.
We’re just a pathetic little tin pot club if this is why we’re about now. Thought selling our soul to move to the bowl was meant to stop this rubbish.
No ambition. I want a refund on my season ticket already
Being a lot older than you Gonzo and as much as i dislike that self promoting “Big club” wannabes that are the Spuds the only thing that would annoy me if we do sell Kudus to them would be accepting a lowball offer so i do not want to see moved for “undisclosed fee” nonsense if it does happen no i want to no the actual price because even if he moves there and we no how good he is/can be it will still not make them title contenders or a chance of winning the champions league but if they did get him on the cheap that would well and truly P**s me off
2 points :
1) £60m for Kudus isnt a low ball offer now is it? in what world is he an £80m player?
2) Spurs aint signing anyone valued £60m +. Watch us go get Tyler Dibling from Southampton for half of the figure mentioned above. Levy has brought in Frank because hes known for overachieving and polishing turds.
