Cole comments on manager replacement

ColeCarlton Cole appeared on Sky Sports Fantasy Football Club show as a guest of John Fendley and Paul Merson and was asked to speculate on the manager situation:

“It is a big season, we need to stay in the Premiership obviously because we are going to the new Olympic Stadium. I would go for experience, I wouldn’t risk it with an up and coming manager, I’d go for pure experience so you know you can depend on him to stay in the Prem”

Earlier this week Cole told the Official club website:

“I don’t know what to think at the moment, whether I’m going or staying. I’m just taking it as it comes at the moment because you never know what’s coming in football. Of course I’d like to stay, but this is how things go in football. If I don’t, I don’t, If I do and I’m still here, I’ll be performing to the best of my ability.”

  1. I bet he got excited when the Pulis rumour started

  2. At least he said experience and not the Hippo,
That’s lucky Bilic has plenty of Premier experience ( as a player ) and can handle the pressure, being your own country’s manager brings more pressure than the Premier,
Pulls is the one you bring in in December when you have relegation problems then give him a year as thanks sack him and he goes off and does it again,

  3. I wish Carlton all the best in his new adventure and wish Pulis only one visit a year to WH with whichever band of thugs he’s managing at the time

  4. “I’ll be performing to the best of my ability.” – unfortunately the best of his ability days have long gone and he looks a shadow of his former self.

    Good luck for the future!
