Cole enters Cherries talks

CarltonCOLECarlton Cole is tonight talking terms with AFC Bournemouth for a possible switch to the Championship club.

Rumours have been rife on the internet this evening that a deal for the Hammers loyalist may be underway.

And ClaretandHugh can confirm from a well placed Upton Park source that talks between the Cole and the Cherries are being held.

Manager Eddie Howe is very keen to sign the player and Cole has to decide whether he’s ready to drop down a level with an accompanying cut in wages.

However, given there was little interest last summer before he returned to the Boleyn, he may believe that a two or three year deal is worth taking at this stage of his career.

ClaretandHugh’s source told us exclusively: “They like him and they are talking to him but the big question is can they afford him?”

  1. This is getting to be like wonderland!
First we play a more fluid passing game and win well away! Zarate looks like a classy ten! Kouyate looks like Patrick viera! Diarra is gone! Mogadon is going! And now cole may be off to the cherries!
Ye gods! What the hell is happening?! Are the winds of change finally blowing through the Boleyn?
Oh and Nolan is out for weeks so our new found style will have a great opportunity to truly bed in! COYI!
