Cole leaves Hammers for Birmingham

|

coleSon of former Manchester United Striker Andy Cole has left West Ham whom he was on trial with to join up with Birmingham City on trial.

Birmingham City announced on their official twitter yesterday afternoon that Devante Cole had joined Birmingham on trial and immediately included him in a pre-season friendly against a Benfica B team. The game ended 1-0 to Benfica with Cole playing the full 90 minutes.

Cole started for a West Ham XI against Colchester last week but failed to make much of an impact in  the defeat. It is reported that  Cole now 20 was offered a new contract at  Manchester City but believes there are too many forwards to have a realistic chance to get into the first team so is trying to find another club.
