Cole reckons he still has value

CarltonCOLECarlton Cole clearly believes he’s still a major West Ham asset pointing to the game at Stoke as an example.

Speaking to the official website he said his introduction to the game gave the Stoke centre-backs – Ryan Shawcross and Marc Wilson – ‘a bit of entertaining’.

He said: “I think we knew we needed a bit of my presence up front in the second half. In the first half, Enner was trying his best but they have got two big boys at the back who needed a bit of entertaining!

“Enner got free in the second half and that’s how he got his goal. Stewart Downing has got an assist and a goal too and I’m just glad to be part of it.

“I just ruffled a few feathers and created a melee in the box. Their keeper gripped me and I wasn’t having that so I got them wound up and off their game a little bit.”

  1. If you were that good then we the genius would have picked you from the start, only both of you are highly overrated and not worth the bother.Everyone knew Cole should have started but SA is so poor as a manager he tried throwing the game away.Coles days are now numbered thankfully, hopefully Sam too

  2. Cole has some value in the squad as a battering ram of sorts, when strength and power are required he can serve a purpose ….. for now, BUT soon we will have a much better, stronger and more powerful option in Carrol to fill that role, IF Carrol gets fit and stays fit Cole becomes redundant

  3. Still one of my old favourites. I had hoped that he would start, but BFS has the golden touch, so whatever he does is good enough for me.

Long may you trouble Stoke, Carlton. 🙂
