|

CollinsJames Collins has been placed on standby for tomorrow’s clash with Chelsea.

Sam Allardyce has reported that hr won’t know about JT’s availability until the end of today after he picked up a small hamstring injury against Leicester City last weekend.

And David Gold was quick to tweet the news this morning saying: “Some doubt about James Tomkins availability for tomorrow’s game. James Collins is on standby. dg

However, apart from that one slight concern, the rest of the squad are fit and raring to go.”

Personally, I think if you picked horses for courses, rather than a ‘best team’, Ginge should be in the starting lineup against Chelsky, anyway. His style of defending is ideal for this game. Like I would pick Sakho and Valencia for this game, but I’d have Carroll start against L’Arse. So no worries if Tomkins is out for this, but I would like him back for Sunday, as I think he’ll suit that game too.
