James Collins won’t be rejoining Hammers

|

Former Hammer James Collins will not be re-joining West Ham today but could join Ipswich Town instead within the next twenty four hours.

West Ham will register a list of twenty four players leaving one slot free for a possible later addition of an out of contract player which would need special permission from the Premier League.

An insider confirmed that James Collins was a possibility for rejoining the Hammers with a short six month contract but the manager vetoed it meaning Collins must look elsewhere to continue his football career.

The Ginge Pele has been training with West Ham first team to keep up his fitness but  Manuel Pellegrini has decided against offering a six month contract until January.

The Premier League will publish full squad lists later today for all clubs but West Ham have only registered 24 players.

The eight home grown players includes Josh Cullen who was still a West Ham squad player at the time of submission to the Premier League before he went out on loan to Charlton Athletic.
