Collison vote of confidence for Irons

Jack Collison watched yesterday’s game against Swansea and reckons manager Slaven Bilic and his team did a thoroughly professional job.

The former Hammer favourite really can’t believe how anybody can criticise a performance whch he described as “solid, workmanlike and gutsy given the circumstances with injured players.”

He said: “I don’t think there’s much doubt that we could easily have lost that match last season as we may have done against Manchester United and Stoke.

“The fact is that Swansea are a very good side who really shouldn’t be in the position they occupy and I don’t believe they will still be down there at the end of the season.

“We should all have known how tough it was going to be and the manager set us up perfectly to absorb what they threw at us and when Enner Valencia came on it was there for the winning. He changed things.

“The team dug in and showed how well they can defend as they have done over the last three games. We know the flair they have when everybody is fit and we should be delighted that they showed themselves so solid at the back.

“I’m sure the manager is and I certainly was. The keyword as far as the fans is concerned is patience. When we get the big boys back we’ll be beating teams all over the place again.”

    Pretty much canchez .
But with the injured players coming back in time we will be fine !!
Anyone notice how the ref gave us nothing on Sunday !
I’ve said this before and say it again , if payet or any of our players are taken out deliberately
again, then we have to respond in kind at target their top player . Not the football I like to see
But we can’t let it happen, could you imagine the plight Everton would be in if lukaku got crocked !!
Zarate was a whisker away by corks challenge on Sunday !
Refs are not protecting us it seems ? Or am I seeing it with c&b specs ?

While he wasn’t great he gave us the biggest decision of the game. I’d of been really ……. off if that hadn’t of been called as handball if it was in their area.

    Canchaz humbug
No one has mentioned Payet only Collinson who now wants to be a hammer again after running the club down a couple of months ago,
You could put the moaning group together daily and I am beginning to think none are hammer fans but come on our club sites to cause Argo,
We have only lost 4 games in the league FACT
    Hippo ain’t coming back FACT,
The majority of fans are very happy FACT
NO ONE IS GOING TO RUIN MY XMAS fact
Slav carry on entertaining the real fans

Does anyone else sense an air of desperation about many of the reports and posts about Sundays’s game, as they all scrabble to find a positive where there is none.
Just an aside. If Payet is our saviour won’t that make him a marked man and high risk for being taken out and injured again.

We are all behind the team collision but to think a performance like a hippo side would go unnoticed is not going to happen !
We were all saying a few weeks back that the depth of squad is more than ample to cope with the injury,s ! And that the attacking and workmanship of the side was applaudabe and as long as we entertain , win or lose , we would be happy !!
Those of us who thought that the game on Sunday was acceptable are hippocrites and those that have spoken up and complained are wrong in the eyes of a few !!
The majority of posts I have read are critical of the performance and IMO have a point !!
Bilic is feeling the pressure , who wouldn’t , with the amount of injury we’ve got !
It maybe clouding his judgement ,
Chin up Slav we still love you .

I tell you what, I’ve just seen Bilic’s post-match interview on the Official Site – he looks really rough, unshaven, red- eyed, like death warmed up, he must be under some severe pressure – I hope he’s up to it!
