Come on Moyes, the time has come to play this lad

It surely is time for Divin Mubama to get his Premier League chance.

Maybe it will come later in the game against Arsenal (maybe not)  as I don’t see David Moyes starting him.

But the lad has shown enough to be worthy of getting an opportunity given the performances of our other front men this season.

With Gianluca Scamacca facing surgery and Danny Ings not exactly tearing trees up, the time has definitely come in my world for the young man to show us what he has got.

His two performances at Euro Conference level have been exceptional having “scored” a diverted goal against FCSB and finally getting his debut goal in the 4-0 win against Larnaca with a clever side footed close in effort.

Born in Newham he has work his Hammers heart on his sleeve when we have seen him in action but way beyond that is his ability to get in behind defenders and make life hard for them.

Ok, we may not be on the front foot too much against the Gooners but if and when we are we  need somebody who knows how to capitalise and from what we have seen so far Divin has that ability.

I know Moyes is very unlikely to take any of these words on board although I seriously hope I’m wrong because with defeat looking likely there is little lost in gambling. Perhaps that is the wrong word anyway.

Let’s see what the lad has got because I forsee a very big future.

We know that all of the top managers in the PL would give a prospect like him a chance in this game and more. We also know that our manager has shown himself to lack courage or foresight with youth so it will be a team of shot blockers and nothing else. Hoping regardless of an entertaining Sunday but no idea why.

We have been waiting all season for Moyes to play players like Areoja, Fornals, Lanzini, Cornet and Divan. Unfortunately he sticks with players like Soucek, Bowen and Ings who offer so little. He has not used the squad, possibly the best squad of players we have ever had. I want all these players to stay but Moyes must go for this to happen.
