Competition: Be coached by a Hammer legend

lomasOur friends over at Awayday Football have given us a great competition prize to have your son or daughter coached by a former Hammers over the October school holidays.

Away Football is hosting a unique week of football coaching and player development in Ilford, Essex.

Players aged between 13-15 the opportunity to be coached by former West Ham players who have represented The Irons at elite level and played alongside and against some of the world’s greatest during their playing career.

Each session has been carefully designed by the former pro’s themselves who all hold either FA or UEFA badges and have been actively involved in coaching since retiring as players.

Monday 26th:  Steve Lomas

Tuesday 27th:  Dean Ashton

Wednesday 28th:  Stuart Slater

Thursday 29th: Don Hutchison/Jimmy Walker (GK clinic)

Friday 30th:  George Parris

  • Each day will be led and coached by a West Ham Legend

  • A coaching program that is designed by UEFA qualified coaches to improve each player technically & tactically

  • Player’s will receive their own initialled training kit

  • Q&A session at the end of each day with the legend

  • A match at the end of the week that will be observed by an academy scout

All staff and coaches currently hold valid DBS certificates. A qualified pitch-side first aider will be on site for the entire duration of the week. The competition is open for one player aged between 13-15 courtesy of Away Football.
